Candy Corn; The Flavor of Halloween

Have y'all tried the new Oreo "Candy Corn" Limited Edition cookies now available only at Target stores?  Personally, I haven't had the inclination to go track them down. Not -so-fun fact: Did you know the filling is basically Crisco and sugar? Gee makes me want to stuff a dozen down my gullet!
Kind of resembles clown jerky....

And while I think candy corn, are sort of cool looking, for me they're too sweet to eat. And no matter which color you bite off; orange, yellow, or white - each color tastes exactly the same. No fun there! I prefer to use them in decoration. For instance, fill up a glass vase or glass bowl with candy corn and add in a few candles. A perfect Halloween table topper!

Candy corn are definitely a Fall and Halloween staple and the candy aisles just wouldn't be the same without them this time of year.. And of course every year at this time, I even paint a few! My latest candy corn creation is a cute little "Trick or Treat" on a river rock. Just oozing sweetness!

Wow Jeannine ! Cool candle idea! Do u get a lot of trick or treaters there? Where I live , on our road We get no one. But one street over is like the mardi GRAS!

I really love the neighborhoods that still go all out!

Halloween is truly a state of mind.
